  • Pride ISM Secondary School has grown rapidly over the last year and enrolment is already 60% up on 2013-14. Amongst our recent developments are a brand new building boasting two science labs, music rooms, a computer lab, dance and drama studio, designated art room, outdoor recreation area and even a roof garden!
  • Our students compete globally in the world-recognized and prestigious University of Cambridge IGCSEs in a range of essential modern subjects including English Language, Mathematics, Pure Mathematics, Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Economics, Business Studies, Accounting and ICT. Next year we will add more options such as History, Geography, Human Biology and World Literature.
  • Our results are excellent – 95% of candidates achieving at least 5 Grade C’s in the last round, with one scoring seven A*. After IGCSEs we offer GCE A Levels in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. A levels are accepted as a university entrance qualification throughout the world and to meet the English Language requirement of all the Anglo sphere countries such as the UK, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and also the United States we run the universally recognized and respected International English Language Testing System (IELTS). Many of our ex-students are now studying successfully overseas and you can see how they are doing on our Alumni page. A great school develops the whole person and we offer a full and exciting extra-curricular programme. Along with sports like Football, Basketball, Badminton and Table-Tennis, our students can enjoy Dance, Drama, Music, Art, Photography, ICT, Newsletter production, Chess and helping others by Community Service. Success in any of these areas can be a real recommendation when students with similar academic credentials compete for places at University or later in employment, showing they possess drive, initiative, willingness to participate and that sense of fun that will see them win!.
  • Enrichment activities include those areas of school life that are neither strictly academic nor competitive but which add to our general understanding of life. Our assortment of visiting speakers, excursions and various international awareness initiatives really help our students become well informed about other cultures, new era opportunities and the modern issues facing our world.
  • Schools cannot function without teachers and on the staffing side we are committed to recruiting the best academic staff supported by a modern, relevant staff development programme, enabling them to help our students meet the challenges of tomorrow with both confidence and success. Developments in student-centered learning, regular assessment and feedback, problem solving, independent thinking skills, enquiry based learning and extensive use of ICT are the approaches that are now taking over from reliance on teacher-talk, textbooks and the whiteboard. We know that our students must be able to match those from other countries who have been familiar with these more effective methods for years- and now we are catching fast.
  • On the theme of maximizing child development, all the research tells us that a supportive home environment and close parent-school collaboration are vital to a child’s well-being psychologically, emotionally, academically and socially. We do urge parents to get actively involved in the life of our school in our friendly, forward thinking and cordial home-school partnership.
  • Above all, our aim is that each student not only excels in their studies but also grows to become a happy, well-adjusted, sensitive and responsive citizen of the world who will always venture forth to bring prosperity, peace, harmony and good will wherever they may be.
If all this resonates with you, call us, drop us a line or better, come in and see for yourself.
